Dr. Marcus Alvarado is a Highland native. After graduating from Highland High School, he attended Mckendree University on a scholarship, where he studied Business Administration, Human Biology & Physiology, and Kinesiology. Dr. Marcus played soccer and football at Mckendree, as he is passionate about sports and exercise. He acquired his undergraduate degree and moved to St. Louis, Missouri, to attend Logan University to pursue his Doctorate in Chiropractic.

Dr. Marcus’s parents are both retired medical doctors, and always encouraged him to provide service in the healthcare field. After attaining his Doctorate in Chiropractic, Dr. Marcus began practicing in New Jersey, at one of the top multidisciplinary Sports Medicine practices in the country! After practicing there for several years, he decided to move home to be closer to family, friends, and provide service to his hometown community.

Dr. Marcus sits on the Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, as well as the HSHS Hospital Board. 



When out of the office he enjoys playing soccer, exercising, reading self-improvement books, and flying airplanes. Dr. Marcus looks forward to serving his patients to the best of his ability for years to come!
